How to pair Q-Interactive iPads? ›

Q-interactive utilizes a Bluetooth connection to pair the Practitioner and Client iPads. Step 1: Tap Bluetooth in the menu on the left side of the screen. Step 2: Tap the Bluetooth switch on the right side of the screen until it changes from white to green.

Typically, if the wrong score is entered for a subtest item, it can be edited with the following exceptions: The assessment is no longer on the Assess app. The assessment has a completed status. KTEA-3 Letter and Word Recognition subtest*.

Q-interactive Overview

Testing takes place on two iPads in an app called Assess. You use the first iPad to access the test administration instructions, score and record responses, and control visual stimuli. The examinee uses the other iPad to view and respond to stimuli.

On your device, go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth. Stay on this screen until you complete the steps to pair your accessory. Place your accessory in discovery mode and wait for it to appear on your device.

Make sure that your Bluetooth accessory and iOS or iPadOS device are close to each other. Turn your Bluetooth accessory off and back on again. Make sure that your Bluetooth accessory is on and fully charged or connected to power. If your accessory uses batteries, see if they need to be replaced.

You must be connected to an active Wi-Fi network to download and sync assessments. You do not need to be connected to an active Wi-Fi network to administer assessments, but you do need to have Wi-Fi enabled on both devices.

How it works. Using Central, the Q-interactive secure web portal, administrators create client profiles and manage the test library. To create an assessment, administrators assign a test battery to a client. That assessment is then sent to the Assess app, where testing takes place.

The Client iPad should not be smaller than 9.7 inches or larger than 11 inches. The Practitioner iPad can be any size. The iPads need to be connected to administer an assessment using Q-interactive Assess.

If not up to date, please update first via the Apple App Store on both iPad devices. Any mismatch can potentially cause connection issues during your assessment session. Ensure you have fully closed the Q-interactive Assess App down on both iPads since your last session.

If you want to sync one iPad's cellular data connection to another iPad, take advantage of the Personal Hotspot feature. Personal Hotspot syncs the two devices so they both can access the Internet via one connection.

Login to both iPads with the same login credentials established earlier to begin testing. Enter your User Name and Password. Allow 10-20 minutes for your complete library of tests to download. Your iPads will connect when you start your assessment and both iPads have been configured correctly.
