With award-winning wine, cuisine, design, architecture, indigenous gardens and art, Cavalli Estate has quickly become a recognised South African lifestyle brand.

Stretched across 100 hectares of prime land located in the prestigious Helderberg region of Stellenbosch, the estate boasts 26 hectares of vineyards, 10 hectares of indigenous fynbos gardens, a contemporary restaurant, 350 seater function venue, wine tasting facility, retail contemporary art gallery, luxury boutique and a world class equestrian facility.

Cavalli aims to produce intriguing and sustainable wines of such a superior quality that ours will come to be the benchmark of quality in the Helderberg. Our focus falls on Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Verdelho.

Wine Tasting: open Wed to Sun, 10am-6pm.

Restaurant: open Wed to Sun for lunch 12pm-2.30pm and Fri & Sat for dinner 6pm-8pm.

Cavalli Restaurants

Voted South Africa’s most stylish restaurant at the “Eat Out” Awards, Cavalli Restaurant has quickly established itself as a must-visit dining destination in the Cape Winelands. Overlooking a serene dam set against the backdrop of the magnificent Helderberg mountain range, it has quickly become a favourite among discerning foodies countrywide.

We also offer an intimate, glass-enclosed private dining room named The Conservatory, right on the water’s edge overlooking the Helderberg mountains. Bookable for a minimum of 10 guests (max 70), the space is ideal for birthdays, baby showers, meetings or intimate weddings. Choose from a selection of menus, including High Tea (R295pp).

Menus & Pricing

Cavalli believe in serving delicious, fresh, whole foods prepared in a way that honours the seasons. We want our food to be the kind that people enjoy not just once but again and again, the type of food that people come back for.

Our focus is on quality rather than quantity, apparent in our small à la carte menu. We feature items such as spiced beef carpaccio, pan seared prawns, pumpkin risotto, grass-fed beef fillet and baked lemon tart – with vegetarians and vegans catered for. Mains from R200pp, or alternatively ask about their 7 course set menu – available from R650pp or their seasonal weekly specials which are advertised on their website and social media.

Cavalli Tours & Activities

Cavalli offer a 1 hour Carriage Farm Tour including a visit to the stables, award-winning restaurant, exquisite gardens and vineyards. The carriage carries up to 4 passengers and is priced at R2000, including a bottle of wine. Pre-booking essential.

The Cavalli Equestrian facility includes an outdoor arena, indoor training arena and 20 state of the art stables which are an architectural delight. Free 1 hour Stable Tours are held on Wed, Fri and Sat at 11am, pre-booking essential. Wine-Tasting on Horseback is now also available to experienced riders – please contact Cavalli for more information.

The award-winning contemporary Art Gallery at Cavalli aims to encourage the local arts through its platform as a retail art gallery and public sculpture space.
